today I got an email from stumble upon that says:
Your StumbleUpon account privileges have been restricted and the account is under review.
Accounts are placed under review for breaching our Terms of Service, which may be found here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/terms.html
The most common cause for account suspension is a contravention of the clauses which forbid the use of personal accounts for the promotion of a business, product or service, and also with regard to the sending of 'spam' messages to other members.
If you wish to appeal this suspension, having first reviewed the TOS, then you may contact us here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/feedback.php but be aware that we will only have imposed the suspension if we believe it to be warranted.
I did not take it right and I replied quite rude.
It's been a while since last time I used stumbleupon because i do not find it useful.
Today I got an email saying my account has been suspended and under review fro breaching TOS.
all submitted urls are nofollow, so the only reason to post a url to very valuable pages of my own site is just because i believe it's useful for other people and not because i can get benefits in SERRPS.
If you think that posting a dozen of urls from my own site is SPAM, then you can delete my account because I cant care less.
Looking at statistic of my main site, I found that stumbleupon has referred me less than 3% of my traffic in the last year, but most of it was low quality traffic with a very high bounce rate.
Other social media, like MBL, delicious and even facebook, brought me less but high quality traffic, that is just what I'm looking for.
I'm quite sure i not gonna miss SU.
