As every other day, I logged into my home banking account to see my statements and pay a couple of bills (aaarggh!)
With immense surprise, I discovered that yesterday at 1pm CET, someone used my credit card to shop on the internet.
How nice!
€ 690,01 (note the cent please!) spent on Creative Europe online store.
Now, we have all kind of protections here in Italy, to shop online, I need CC number, CVVS, expiry date 1st and 2nd name, and in most cases the billing address,
Plus, we have another userid (a 10 digit alphanumeric) and another password not shorter than 8 characters specifically created for online shopping.
Now, I have my CC with me all the time, there aren't passwords saved on my PC and I have all the anti-viruses, anti-spyware, anti-whatever software always up to date.
How in the hell it can happen?
Just for the record, I blocked the credit card changed all my passwords, and contacted police about this matter.
Today it's holiday in UK/Ireland, but I also contacted Creative Labs and awaiting a reply.
This week did not start right.. no no..
